The Anderson Dean Community Park board of directors held their regular meeting on Wednesday, March 18, and Park Director Stephan Ransdell reported the pool is on track to open on time this year.

Since the pool was closed due to COVID-19 in 2020, it has been plagued by significant issues, including major structural leaks beneath the concrete and broken chemical control pumps, resulting in temporary closures and the need for extensive repairs. Renovations following these issues addressed aging infrastructure and leaks.

The pool is scheduled to be cleaned in mid April, and Ransdell said valves will be replaced in the process, along with other minor repairs, before it is filled for the summer season.
