Grand Jury Hands Up Indictments

The Mercer Grand Jury handed up indictments last Wednesday on charges including possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, fentanyl possession and bail jumping.

WEAPONS CHARGES
• Nathaniel Davis, 23, of 601 Dove Court, is charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, a class C felony. The offense occurred on April 4, according to the indictment. Bail was set at $10,000. Sgt. Christopher Booth (Harrodsburg Police Department) testified.

DRUG CHARGES
• Austin Crowe, 27, of 185 Leesburg Road, is charged with possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, a class C felony; 1st degree possession of fentanyl and 1st degree possession of methamphetamine, both class D felonies; and possession of drug paraphernalia (scales), a class A misdemeanor. All offienses occurred on April 21, according to the indictment. Bail is set at $10,000 with drug-related conditions: report to pretrial services, submitting to random drug testing and being involved in no new arrests involving alcohol, illegal substances or pain medications with or without a prescription. Sgt. Christopher Booth (HPD) testified.
• Brian Cable, 39, of 107 Jean Street, Lawrenceburg, is charged with 1st degree possession of methamphetamine, a class D felony. The offense occurred on May 19, according to the indctment. Bail is set at $5,000 with drug-related conditions. Dep. Sean Brown (Mercer Counth Sheriff’s Office) testified.
• James Nowlin, 24, of 734 Stoner Street, is charged with 1st degree possession of methamphetamine, a class D felony. The offense occurred on April 23, according to the indictment. Bail is set at $5,000 with drug-related conditions. Patrolman Blake Darland (HPD) testified.
