Harrodsburg Harvest Coffee is hosting a poetry reading event in a partnership with Nomadic Ink on Saturday, April 27 from 1-4 p.m.
Tony Sexton, who founded the group Nomadic Ink in 2006 said he hopes many people would participate and benefit from the comradely of writing and listening to poetry.
“Nomadic Ink was created after a workshop I conducted and every one wanted to continue. We started meeting in various places like the park and homes, etc, thus the name Nomadic Ink,” said Sexton. “We call ourselves Ink Blots. The mission is to lead hopeful writers into inspiration and confidence in their abilities to reach their goals as writers.”
Sexton hopes writers and listeners come to participate in the event.
“The event is open to all those interested in getting started. We would also like to have some writers involved in that event who are not yet members of Nomadic Ink. And we are hoping to have folks who are not writers but love poetry to come and listen, said Sexton. “We are always encouraging other writers to join us and to encourage others who want to start writing. Our meeting are designed for both established writers and those who are just beginning or want to get started.”
