The Burgin Bulldogs track and field team attended the 1A State Championship on Thursday, May 21. Burgin had four athletes qualify for state, including seniors Kate Hatfield and Raegan Taylor, junior Carter Myhre and sophomore Maddie Peavler. Hatfield qualified for the high jump after winning the region with a height of 5-02.  Hatfield jumped 4-08 at state and placed eighth overall with the wet track slowing her down.

She placed second in the 300-meter hurdles, losing by less than a second and finishing with a time of 46.81.
