The Mercer County archery team competed in the Kentucky NASP State 3D tournament this past weekend, Saturday, March 13-14. The state bullseye and 3D tournament was hosted at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center in Louisville.

With over 3,000 archers competing in just the high school division, it was a highly competitive tournament and Harrison County topped the leaderboards with a score of 3453 in Bullseye and narrowly beat out Anderson County to win the 3D tournament with a total of 1714.

Mercer qualified for the 3D tournament as a team, and freshman Jeffery Lay was the only state qualifier for the bullseye tournament.
