John Mattingly

John Albert Mattingly, 84, husband of Marian Bonham Mattingly, of Harrodsburg, died Friday, May 19, 2023, at Landmark of Danville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Born Oct. 17, 1938, in Harrodsburg, he was the son of the late James S. and Ruth (Parrott) Mattingly. He was a graduate of Salvisa High School, a professional auto repairman and dealer, and was a member of the Pioneer Baptist Church. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: four sons, John D. (Julie) Mattingly of Rose Hill, James “Jim” (Lisa) Mattingly, Jeff N. (Valerie) Mattingly and Jerry W. (Rhonda) Mattingly, all of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Betty Trisler of Harrodsburg, and Barbara Quinn of Panama City, Fla.; one brother, Charlie (Linda) Mattingly, of Harrodsburg, 13 grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, J.W. Mattingly, and one sister, Mary Rose Quinn.
