A Versailles man has been indicted in connection to a stolen truck.

Last week, Micah Manley, 23, of 810 Tyrone Pike, Versailles, was indicted on charges of receiving stolen property worth $10,000 or more, a class C felony, and 2nd degree fleeing/evading police, a class A misdemeanor.

The indictment dates to Feb. 14, when police were dispatched to a residence on North Lane in Harrodsburg in connection to a stolen truck. Manley was seen standing next to a red Chevrolet Colorado that matched the description of a vehicle that had been reported stolen.

According to the uniform citation, when police arrived, Manley took off running around the rear of the house. Officers pursued Manley to apartments located on Ewing Avenue, where he was taken into custody after trying to “hide in the bushes.”

Manley’s bail was set at $10,000 (no contact). Patrolman Ridge Yeast (Harrodsburg Police Department) testified.

The Grand Jury also handed up the following indictments last Thursday.

• Kobe Ford, 26, of 280 Carson Court, was charged with trafficking in synthetic drugs, a class D felony. On Jan. 18, Boyle County Probation and Parole conducted a home visit with Ford, who was under supervised probation for a 2019 Woodford County case for trafficking in methamphetamine. According to the complaint warrant, the probation officer found Ford to be in possession of a small amount of a substance suspected of being heroin as well as approximately 35 grams of suspected synthetic narcotics packaged for sale.

Ford’s bail was set at $5,000 with drug conditions: report to pretrial services, submit to random drug testing and no new arrests involving alcohol, illegal substances or pain medications with or without a prescription.

Nick Paton (Boyle County Probation and Parole) testified.
