JANE BUTTERFIELD

Elizabeth Jane Butterfield, 76, of Harrodsburg, wife of Tom Socci, died Sunday, Nov. 6, 2022, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. 

Born July 11, 1946, in Rapid City, South Dakota, she was the daughter of the late Donald Raymond and Elizabeth Jane (Wriston) Butterfield. 

She was “Jane the Can Lady,” rummaging through the county for aluminum cans and other scrap metal to help support the local animal shelters.

Survivors, in addition to her husband, include: one brother, Raymond Butterfield of Quartz Hill, Calif.
