James Grimes
James “Jim” Robert Grimes, 94, of Harrodsburg, widower of Mabel McDonald Grimes, died Saturday, July 16, 2022, at the Signature Health Care. Born Sep. 27, 1927, in Lincoln County, he was the son of the late Hugh and Lucy (Crabtree) Grimes. He was a retired CNA for the UK Eastern State Hospital, worked for the Mercer County School District and was a WWII US Army Air Corps veteran. Survivors include: two sons, Ronnie (Louise) Grimes of Liberty,and Bruce (Cheri) Grimes of Mercer County; four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, 12 greatgreat- grandchildren and special friend, Jewel Reynolds. He was preceded in death by one son, Larry Grimes, two grandchildren and one great -grandson.
