Investigators Seek Cause Of Death For Local Man

Authorities are investigating the death of a Harrodsburg man found Wednesday morning.
The body of Jamel William Taylor, 31, of 120 North Main Street, was discovered outdoors behind a local business not far from his apartment, according to the Mercer County Coroner’s Office. Police received the call at 9:07 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16.
No preliminary cause of death has been announced. Officials say Taylor’s body was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for an autopsy.
Taylor’s family was notified of his death. Patrolwoman Tabitha Shewmaker of the Harrodsburg Police Department is in charge of the investigation.
