Ben Medley
Ben Medley, 85, husband of Mary Matthews Medley, died Saturday, March 12, 2022, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born April 6, 1936, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Bill and Laura Beasley Medley. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, where he served as a cook, and retired as a cook from multiple restaurants. Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: one daughter, Chrisi (David) Darland, of Harrodsburg; one sister, Mary Elliott, of Lexington; two nephews; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by one son, Junior Matthews; three brothers, Buck, Bobby, and Billy Medley; three sisters, Judy, Anna Lee and Elsie; and one great-granddaughter, Lexi Goodlett.
