Margaret Irene Hicks, 94, of Harrodsburg, widow of Marshall Votaw and Floyd Hicks, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 2022, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center in Frankfort. Born Jan. 5, 1928, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Willis and Leona (Gritton) Peavler. She retired from the Cudahy Cheese Plant, had worked at Corning Inc., was a member of the Cornishville Christian Church and attended Magnolia Street Christian Church. Survivors include: two daughters, Shari (John McPherson) Gash of Harrodsburg and Wanda (Roger) Alford of Danville; one son, Gene (Diane) Votaw of Harrodsburg; one sister, Helen Isham of Harrodsburg; one brother, J. B. Peavler of Ohio; six grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Melissa Votaw, seven brothers, Willis Earl, Leon, Condit, Marvin, Lawrence, Donald, and Edward Peavler and two sisters, Sarah Peavler and Jewell Tobey.
