Glenna Searcy

Glenna Hutchinson Searcy, wife of Jack T. Searcy Jr., died Monday, Feb. 14, 2022, at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville. Born July 28, 1946, in Ashland, she was the daughter of the late Estill and Hope Hutchinson. She worked in the music publishing business, for the Lexington Herald Leader and Cincinnati Enquirer newspapers, was an elementary school teacher at Junction City Elementary School and was a rural carrier for the United States Postal Service. Survivors, in addition to her husband, include: four sons, Jeff (Melody) Searcy of Noblesville, Indiana, Chris (Joanna) Searcy of Danville, John (Patsy) Searcy of Nicholasville, Jack Tucker Searcy III of Danville; one sister Linda S. (Stanley) Hitson of Prescott, Arizona; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Vicki Hutchinson Stewart.
