Everyone will be out to celebrate Independence Day this week. Anderson-Dean Community Park will host the annual fireworks show on Sunday, July 4. While the Lights Over Herrington fireworks show will not be happening this year, many local marinas will be hosting their own shows. Check their Facebook pages for time and dates.

Many local venues will be offering live music as well this year, with Shaker Village of Pleasant Hill offering music every night of the weekend. Check the listings below for more information.

And speaking of Shakertown, Mercer County week begins Monday, July 5, and runs all week long.Mercer County residents get to enjoy Shakertown free of charge, attending daily programs and exhibits. For more information, check the story below.

And don’t forget, on Friday, July 9, Harrodsburg First Main Street Program will host Friday Night On Main Street featuring music, food and crafts at Olde Towne Park.
