BRUCE PATTERSON

Robert “Bruce” Patterson, 79, of Harrodsburg, husband of Ann McNees Patterson, died Sunday, June 27, 2021, at his home.  

Born Nov. 4, 1941, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Horace Patterson and Nannie (Hurst) and Raymond Darnell. 

He was an auto auction ring man, served in the National Guard and coached school golf and Junior Pro basketball.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: four daughters: Nora Ann James, Letha (Tim) Blair, Bobby (Chris) Bruner and Carol Stephens; one son, Nick Patterson; one step son, Eddie (Jamie) Carrier Jr.; two brothers, J.C. (Kathleen) Patterson and Tommy Hurst; 11 grand children and 14 great-grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by four grandchildren; Steven Bruce Patterson, Nichole Patterson, Joshua Patterson and Tabitha Stephens, one brother, Larry Patterson and one sister; June Sutton.

Funeral services are today, Thursday, July 1, at 2 p.m. at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Mick Conover and Phil Yates officiating. Burial is in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Visitation 10 a.m. until the hour of service.

Pallbearers are  Nick Patterson, Quinton Bruner, Isaiah Bruner, Shane Blair, Eddie Carrier Jr., Shane Cocanougher, Lance McNees, Jonathan Sexton, Michael Butler and Brian Sexton.
