Ragged Edge Community Theatre will be presenting the first Old Harrod Radio Hour, a country music/variety show hosted by local favorites Natalie Berry Marshall and Josh McMillen on Sunday, March 10, at 3 p.m.
“I’m especially excited about this new series, because it’s not only a wonderful fundraising opportunity, it fulfills one of the first goals I set when I became managing director,” said Allan Barlow. “That goal is for Ragged Edge to not only be a community theatre, but a performing arts center, with something interesting always happening that will bring the community to Main Street.”
Four local performers will take the stage to showcase their talents. They are:
• Jaydan Bottoms, who attends Mercer County High School.
• Rose Naughton, a 20-year-old theater veteran who most recently appeared as Daisy Mae in Ragged Edge’s production of “Li’l Abner.”
• Kaydy Dressler, an 18-year-old singer/songwriter from Harrodsburg.
• Sybastian Dunn, a senior at Mercer County High School. Audiences will remember him as Seaweed in “Hairspray” and as Donkey in “Shrek Jr.”
Local philanthropists Pete and Barbara Chiericozzi have underwritten the project, which is envisioned as an ongoing series of showcases for up-and-coming local musical talent.
All proceeds will benefit the theatre.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online at www.raggededgetheatre.org or by calling 734-2389 and leaving a message.
