Clifton Prewitt

Clifton Day Prewitt III, 69, of Salvisa, husband of 51 years to Linda Ammon Prewitt, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2019, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, in Lexington.

Born Nov. 19, 1949, in Fayette County, he was the son of the late Clifton Day Prewitt, Jr. and the late Patsy Grigsby Prewitt Day

He was a retired acoustical contractor, had worked security at Keeneland Race Track part-time, and was a member of the Salvisa Baptist Church.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: one daughter, Amy Elizabeth Owens, of Versailles; one son, Clifton D. (Season) Prewitt IV, of Harrodsburg;  one brother, Stephen Prewitt, of Garrard County; four grandchildren, Kayla and Lincoln Owens and Brinkley and Elle Prewitt.

Funeral services were held on  Monday, Feb. 25, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Jonathan Jones officiating. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery.
