Ruth Gaskin
Ruth Miller Gaskin, 93, of Harrodsburg, KY, died Tuesday, June 5, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
She was born October 17, 1924, in Valley Oak, KY, to the late James Franklin and Hadie Strong Miller and was the youngest of 7 children.
As a child, her family moved to Somerset, KY, where she attended Somerset High School and met her husband of 65 years, the late Quentin L. Gaskin.
She was a member of Harrodsburg Baptist Church for more than 60 years. She taught Sunday School, and used her gift of music by singing in the sanctuary choir and playing piano for the Faith, Hope & Love Sunday School class. Mrs. Gaskin was also a nurse. She started her career at St. Joseph Hospital and retired working at a private practice in Harrodsburg.
