Helen Jernigan

Helen C. Jernigan, 92, of Harrodsburg, widow of James Thomas Jernigan died Monday, May 14, 2018 at Harrodsburg Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Born July 1, 1925 in Muhlenberg County, she was the daughter of the late Shelly Eugene and Maude Groves Hardison.

She was a member of the Burgin Baptist Church and worked as a sales clerk at Shakertown for 42 years. She worked in a parachute factory during WWII, while her husband served in the United States Army. She was granted the honor of becoming a Ky Colonel in 1999.
