Lisa “Mickey” Miller

Lisa “Mickey” Bottom Miller, 53, wife of 32 years to Jeff Miller, passed away March 17, 2018 at the UK Medical Center after a long and courageous battle with colon/liver cancer. Born July 19, 1964 in Lexington, KY, she was the daughter of Irene Freeman Bottom and the late Gilbert Bruce Bottom.  In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by six children, Mackenzie (Matt) Frankenburger, Morgan Miller, Landon (Mikeh) Miller, Kennedy Miller, Konner Miller and Kaden Miller; four grandchildren, Braxton, Cason and Finley Frankenburger, Stone Miller and a little granddaughter Logan Miller due to arrive in May; and one sister, Terri Clark. Mickey graduated from the University of Kentucky and received her Masters Degree from Georgetown College.

She was a teacher and began her career several years ago at Harrison Elementary and then took a temporary retirement to raise her family. She went back to teaching five years ago at Millcreek Elementary. She loved teaching and loved her students, co-workers and friends at school. The family would like to take this opportunity to thank all the teachers, staff and friends that have done so much to help her and all the support they gave her during her battle. Mickey was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister and Friend. She always had a smile. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Thurs., March 22, 2018 at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home – Harrodsburg Rd. by Rev. Bruce Carpenter with burial to follow in Blue Grass Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4 – 7:00 p.m. on Wed., March 21, 2018 at the funeral home.
