Hatfield takes first place at Mercer All-Comers; Bulldogs take first, second and third

It was a great day to be a Burgin Bulldog as they took home first, second and third in the Mercer All-Comers cross country meet, the first home meet of the season for Mercer and Burgin cross country.
Burgin’s Drew Hatfield finished first place with a time of 18:05.58, Trevar Lay finished second with a time of 18:15.90 and Hunter Preston placed third with a time of 19:46.85. John Boursaw of Burgin also placed in the top 10, finishing eighth with a time of 21:35.28.
Haley Blevins of Mercer County came in first place for the girls. She finished with a time of 21:09.37. Burgin’s Avery Harmon was the first Lady Bulldog to finish, placing seventh with a time of 27:14.80. Carter Edelan of Mercer was the first boy to finish for the Titans, placing 9th with a time of 21:44.77.
