Summer is here and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet Department of Highways (KYTC) has a full schedule of road repair projects.
Here are three upcoming road/lane closures:
• Bluegrass Parkway. On weekdays from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. starting Tuesday, May 30, through Friday, June 30, there will be random lane closures on the Bluegrass Parkway in Mercer County.
The lane closures between mile points 48 and 72 are necessary for bridge repair operations, according to KYTC.
• US68/Lexington Road. There will be a temporary closure of US 68/Lexington Road starting Tuesday, June 6, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The closure at milepoint 5.0 is necessary for pipe replacement operations.
• US 127 Bypass. There will be alternating lane closures on US 127/Harrodsburg Bypass 6 a.m. until 9 p.m. on weekdays beginning Tuesday, May 30, and continuing through Friday, June 9.
Crews will be paving between milepoints 2.0 and 5.0. The lane closures will be alternating, so the bypass will remain open to traffic.
