JESSICA BRYANT
Dr. Jessica Elizabeth Thomas Bryant, 53, wife of Erwin L. Bryant of Lexington, died Thursday, May 11, 2017, at the Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington.
Born Sept. 26, 1963, in Versailles, she was the daughter of Mae Evelyn Vaughn Thomas of Harrodsburg and the late Jessie Clyde Thomas Jr.
She was a graduate of Anderson County High School and Kentucky State University and attended Indiana University then later graduated with Masters and PhD Degrees in Education from the University of Kentucky. More recently, she served as a Professor of English at Eastern Kentucky University and had authored several books and articles relating to English Education. She lectured throughout the world, including in Seoul, South Korea, was an avid reader, enjoyed singing, playing piano, traveling, and serving as an active member of Southland Christian Church.
