Former Mercer County tennis star, Kyleigh Murray, is currently playing for Campbellsville University and is making the most of her time there.

Campbellsville is ranked 18th in the NAIA coaches top 25 poll and Murray is currently the fifth ranked singles player.

The freshman, Murray, talked about the transition into college.

“Throughout this past year, college has been a huge change from high school,” said Murray. “Since I was in the fifth grade I have been playing and enjoying tennis, then decided to continue my career in college. In high school, I had to be more independent and take the initiative to better myself by going to Lexington either two or three times a week.”

Murray said that it was a handful, but she has accepted the challenge and looks forward to the rest of her college career.  Murray also talked about the close-knit relationships you build in college.
