It’s been a tough season so far for the Burgin Bulldog baseball team as they fall to nearby Danville 19-0 in five innings. The Admirals, (7-5), win after dropping their last two games.

Senior Jordan Hurst took the loss for the Bulldogs, pitching 4 fours innings, giving up 8 runs and had five strikeouts.

Coach Jeremy Noel is in his first season, but knows it will take time during a rebuilding period.

“It’s been a little tougher than expected,” said Noel. “I’m down to about eleven players right now so I’m trying to build mental toughness with this group more than anything.”
