2017 Burgin Track Preview

Coach Chris Beckerson and the Burgin Track and Field team look to ride their senior talent this season and compete with top teams around the area.

“We have been competitive in middle distance and distance events as students focus on those events all year with cross country in the fall and track in the spring,” said Beckerson. “We have qualified for the State Championship meet in several distance events every year  for the last nine years and with Wesley Qualls and Trevar Lay leading this group, I expect this season to be no different.”

The senior, Qualls, who committed to Georgetown to continue his track career back in January will compete in middle-distance, distance and occasionally in jumping events.

3/21 – Boyle County All-Comers

3/28 – Mercer County All-Comers

4/11 – Boyle County All-Comers

4/15 – Heart of the Bluegrass hosted by Mercer Co.

4/18 – Danville All-Comers

4/21 – Boyle County Invitational

4/25 – Mercer County All-Comers

4/29 – Lake Cumberland Classic hosted by Somerset High School

5/2 – Danville All-Comers

5/5 – Central Kentucky Conference hosted at Danville

5/13 – Regional Meet at Danville

5/20 – State Meet at UK
