William Conrad Claycomb Sr., of Campbellsville, son of the late Herbert C. Claycomb and Nellie Russell Claycomb, was born on June 16, 1924, in Taylor County, Kentucky.  
He died at 7:45 p.m., Monday, March 27, 2017, at the Thomson-Hood VA Center in Wilmore. He was 92.
He professed faith in Christ and was a member of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Conrad was a veteran of World War II, having served his country honorably in the United States Army.  He was also a German prisoner of war in World War II for nine months from 1944-1945.
He was a retired employee of TGT, retiring after 38 years of service, and was a lifelong member of Pitman Masonic Lodge #124 F & AM.
He united in marriage to Dorothy Sexton Sept.17, 1943, and she preceded him in death on May 31, 2011.
