HILARY COX

Hilary Auburn Cox, 75, of Harrodsburg, husband of Sue W. Cox, died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2016, at the Willows in Harrodsburg.

Born Feb. 7, 1941, in Shepherdsville, he was the son of the late Auburn L. and Ruth Owen Cox.

He worked on Wilkinson Farms until he retired. He loved to farm and enjoyed livestock shows.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include: one son, John Aaron Cox of Harrodsburg; three daughters, Janet Cox Moses of Harrodsburg, Joyce Cox (Bobby) Elliott of Harrodsburg and Marsha Gail Cox of Harrodsburg; one sister, Louise Hofelich of Louisville, and four grandchildren, Joscelyn Elliott (Lee) Strange, Jonathan Tanner Cox, Carey Elliott and Caleb Elliott.

He was preceded in death by his brother: Clyde Lester Cox.

Funeral services were held 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 28, at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with Mike Jones officiating. Burial was in the Spring Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Aaron Cox, Tanner Cox, Joscelyn Strange, Lee Strange, Caleb Elliott, Bobby Elliott, Stephen Terhune and David Canham. Honorary pallbearers were Bruce Harper, Joe Ballard, Wayne Savage and Greg Corbitt.
