BCTC in the running for $4 million grant
Bluegrass Community and Technical College (BCTC) in Danville is on the short list for a portion of a $100 million grant from the state.
The Kentucky Work Ready Skills Initiative is a statewide bond program which aims to build a highly trained, modernized workforce. BCTC, who submitted a funding request to receive $4.35 million, made it to the round of 24 that will receive funding.
Nearly 230 students from Mercer County attend BCTC, according to Dick Webb, executive director of the Harrodsburg-Mercer County Industrial Development Authority (HMCIDA)….
