Campbellsville University will not receive a $3.699 million dollar grant, but they’re going to invest in the Hughes-Jones Harrodsburg Area Technology Center anyway.

On Monday night, Wes Carter, regional director of development and church outreach at Campbellsville, told the Harrodsburg Board of Commissioners the university had not been chosen to receive a Work Ready Skills Development Grant from the Kentucky Education and Workforce Development Cabinet.

Carter said Campbellsville still wanted to expand the technology center, increasing the capacity of the welding program and adding an HVAC program. He said the university was investing $200,000 towards the project and asked for the city to honor their $50,000 pledge of support.
