High speed chase ends at the hospital
A man is in critical condition after leading police on a high speed chase through Mercer County last week.
On the evening of Thursday, Oct. 6, police stopped Rocky D. Smith, 52, of Liberty, for reckless driving.
When Patrolman T.J. Wren approached Smith’s car, he detected what he recognized as the scent of marijuana.
During a subsequent search, Wren found a large bag containing what he suspected to be marijuana as well as a large amount of cash and drug paraphernalia items usually carried by drug traffickers.
