Although he still has one more year left, Mercer County soccer player Garrett Dean already has one of the most decorated careers in Titans soccer history.
The senior midfielder has been named to the All-State Soccer Team the last two years, was named to the 12th Region All-Tournament Team last season, has been named to the 46th District All-Tournament Team the last two years and helped lead Mercer County to a 12th Region Championship last fall.
This year the center-midfielder looks to become an All-State player for the third time in his career and hopes to lead Mercer County to their second consecutive 12th Region championship.
“Garrett has been a leader on this team from the day I started coaching at Mercer County High School back when he was entering the ninth grade. Back then he was not the most vocal of leaders but he showed another really important part of being a leader, which was through his actions,” said Mercer County Soccer Coach Garrett Stark. “Over the last two years he really added the vocal component of being a leader. To me, the two main parts of being a leader are through your actions and words and Garrett Dean has been a great leader over his four years, helping build the boys soccer program at Mercer County to where it is today.”
