The annual Earth Day Spring Cleanup took place all across Mercer County on Friday, 22.

The program was started around six years ago, said Jill Cutler, executive director of the Mercer County Chamber of Commerce. She said members of the chamber at the time felt something needed to be done to keep the community clean for its residents.

“I love it,” Cutler said.

Areas all across Mercer County were cleared of trash and debris with help from local volunteers.
