The Christian Life Center plans to have an open house on Sunday, April 24.

But before the open house, Mercer County youth got together and gave the Center’s Main Street storefront a fresh coat of paint.

They were part of the One Weekend project, which was made up of various local youth groups, including groups from the Harrodsburg Christian Church and the Carpenter’s Christian Church. In addition to painting the Life Center, volunteers also cleaned the grounds at Mercer County Senior High School and Burgin Independent School.

“It’s phenomenal how our community comes together,” said Kassie Barker, who has been director at the Christian Life Center for the last five years.
