Mercer County junior Mason Hazelwood is regarded as one of the best pitchers in the state. Friday night he proved why many people fear him when he steps on the mound, as he struck out nine batters and allowed only one run in the Titans’ 5-1 win over the visiting Anderson County Bearcats.
“He has got a huge ceiling. He’s got a bright future ahead of him,” said Mercer County baseball coach Jeremy Shope.
