The Mercer County golf team seniors had no idea it was senior night Monday night. Even more to their surprise, their dads appeared out of the clubhouse just before they teed off on the first hole, wearing caddie bibs. Even the festivities and surprise of having their dads caddie for them didn’t slow them down, though, as they easily defeated Woodford County 151-201.
Senior Austin Satterly had the low score for Mercer County, as well as the low score of his career with a 34.
“Austin highlighted the night with a career best and season low for our team. He has really been putting in extra practice time and it’s starting to pay off,” said Mercer County Head Coach Jay Anderson.
Senior Connor True and junior Brennen Walton both shot a 38, while senior Ross Meeks shot a 41.
