GEORGE RONEY

George “G.W.” William Roney, 79, husband of Gloria Press Roney died Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington.

Born July 13, 1936 in Hustonville, he was the son of the late Carl and Odie Evelyn Curtsinger Roney. 

Mr. Roney was retired from IBM and was a United States Army veteran. He served as a dea-con at Southland Christian Church and later in life was a member of Highlands Baptist Church. He was an avid fisherman and gardener and taught his grandchildren those traits as well.
