Rising Stars

The Mercer County boy’s and girl’s basketball teams both had a lot of success in the 2014-15 season, both breaking school records for wins in a season. That success wouldn’t have been possible without the stellar play of freshmen Trevon Faulkner and Seygan Robins.
Faulkner, who played sparingly as an eighth-grader, took his game to an elite level as a freshman. He played in all 32 of the Titans’ games, was second on the team in scoring with 16.8 points per game, while also averaging five rebounds per game. He also shot 47.6 percent from the field, including 34.1 percent from the three-point line.
“I think Trevon showed that he is one of the best freshman in the state,” said Mercer County Head Coach Josh Cook.
