Mercer County Lady Titan golfer Allison Griffith signed to play collegiately at Midway College in the fall.

Griffith, who plans to major in business, said although she had wanted to go to Midway College because of the small school atmosphere, something else stood out to her during golf season.

“I decided that I wanted to attend Midway during the region golf tournament. After a bad round, he (Midway golf coach Otis Smith) hunted me down. He had been looking at me for two years,” said Griffith. “I could see the passion in his eyes and he knew I had been looking at Midway for quite a while, so it was just the best decision for me.”

Mercer County Head Coach Jeremy Brummett said Griffith shared that passion for golf, which he says the Lady Titans will miss next season.
