Titans Outlast Boyle County

Mercer County sophomore Mason Hazelwood pitched six innings, struck out three batters and had only one earned run as he picked up the win in the Titans win over Boyle County Saturday.
The Mercer County Titans used a three-run sixth inning to pull out a thrilling 4-3 victory over the visiting Boyle County Rebels Saturday.
The Rebels scored the first run of the game in the third inning.
After a lead-off single by Cameron Walker, Matthew Boitnott knocked him in two batters later on a single to centerfield.
Boyle County held the 1-0 lead until the bottom of the fifth, when the Titans broke through for a run.
Camden Martin earned the tying run for the Titans after scoring on a steal from third base to home while the Rebels were worried about Allex Gooch, who had a big lead-off on first base.
The Titans’ good fortunes continued into the bottom of the sixth.
