Mercer County Archery Places 32nd at NASP State Tournament

Mercer County archers Meghan Owens, left, and Caroline Makin, right, finished in the top-20 of middle school female archers at the NASP State Tournament March 11-12.
The Mercer County middle and high school archery teams competed at the NASP State Archery Tournament, March 11 and 12 at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville.
The team was led by eighth grader Caroline Makin, who had a score of 282 and finished 12th out of 682 middle school female archers, and 52nd out of 1,880 female archers overall.
Meghan Owens finished 19th out of 682 female middle school archers and placed in the top 100 overall with a score of 281. Morgan Clark also placed in the top 100 overall with a score of 279.
