Lady Bulldogs Can’t Overcome Slow Start in Loss to Jackson City

Burgin guard Destiney Tompkins called a play Saturday afternoon in the Lady Bulldogs loss.
The Burgin Lady Bulldogs fell behind 14-4 after one quarter Saturday afternoon and never could catch back up as they fell to the Jackson City Lady Tigers 55-26.
It took two minutes, 18 seconds for the Lady Bulldogs to get their first basket of the game on a shot by Autumn Ransdell. They didn’t get their next basket until four minutes, 51 seconds later to make the score 14-4 with 51 seconds left in the first quarter.
Neither team scored another basket and things remained the same after one.
The second quarter went much like the first as Burgin scored just seconds in to make the score 14-6. They didn’t score again for over five minutes.
