Burgin Bulldogs Fall to Admirals in All-A Classic

Burgin junior Tommy Lopresto shot the ball for two of his team-high 14 points Tuesday night.

The Burgin Bulldogs couldn’t get many shots to fall as they fell, 63-33, to the Danville Admirals in the 12th Region All-A Classic Tuesday night.

The Bulldogs shot 36 percent (14-38) from the field and only 33 percent (3-9) from the free-throw line in the loss.

Burgin’s shooting problems started early in the game as they fell behind, 20-8, after one quarter.

The Bulldog’s offense continued to struggle in the second quarter as they were only able to score six points and trailed, 33-14, at halftime.

Danville came out firing in the third quarter, scoring 22 points, including nine points from senior Jaylen Hendren.

The Bulldogs trailed, 55-20, going into the final quarter.
