Lady Titan Trio Attends Big Blue Madness

Mercer County freshman basketball players attended Big Blue Madness Saturday, Oct. 18. The three that attended are pictured left to right: Faith Lake, Seygan Robins and Lexy Lake.
Mercer County freshmen Faith Lake, Lexy Lake and Seygan Robins all got to experience something many people can only dream about last weekend, as they attended the University of Kentucky’s Big Blue Madness.
The twist: these girls were invited to go not just as fans, but as recruits.
During the unofficial visit, the trio got to check out the Kentucky Lady Wildcats lockeroom, meet the team and meet the coaches. They were even able to watch the event from up close.
“It was an unforgettable experience,” said Lexy Lake.
Her twin sister echoed her comments.
“It was really crazy and loud. It isn’t something you get to experience everyday,” said Faith.
The girls said they enjoyed everything about the night, but all three shared one memory in particular that was their favorite.
“When (University of Kentucky Women’s Basketball) Coach (Matthew) Mitchell was singing. He can actually sing really good,” said Robins.
