Lady Bulldogs Fall To Lady Colts

Jesalyn Bradford returned the ball in the Burgin Lady Bulldogs loss to the West Jessamine Lady Colts Thursday, Sept. 4.

It was a district battle between two teams who had very different looking rosters when the Burgin Lady Bulldogs (2-11-1) hosted the West Jessamine Lady Colts (5-2) Thursday, Sept. 4.

The Lady Bulldogs have only 10 players, including one senior, while the Lady Colts have 22 players, including eight seniors.

The number of players and senior leadership seemed to payoff in the match, as the Lady Colts rolled to a three-set victory.

In the first game the Lady Bulldogs started out strong, getting up 4-2 just a few points in.

The two teams continued to trade points, and the score remained tied at 8-all, that was until the Lady Colts Alexis Rich took over.
