Lawson Places Third at USBC

Harrodsburg native Dortha Lawson took home third place at the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Senior Women’s Championships July 7-9, in Reno, Nev.

Lawson qualified for the USBC Championships by winning the Kentucky USBC Women’s Championship last fall.
At the USBC, bowlers had to bowl six games, divided into two sets of three, played on consecutive days.

After making it to the medal round, in which Lawson qualified second out of 32 bowlers, she had to bowl three more games to determine a champion.
