The Quest For A National Title

Timberlynn Yeast shows off her gold medal from the 400 meter dash she won, Saturday, June 21 at the AAU State Association Meet.
At only 9-years-old, Timberlynn Yeast has accomplished more in track than most athletes do in a lifetime, and the hard work she puts in is a big reason why.
Yeast, the daughter of Terry and Tiffany Yeast, is currently ranked 55th in the nation out of 314 runners in her age group in the 400 meter dash and also has several gold medals to go with that ranking.
On June 21, Yeast won the gold medal in the AAU State Association meet, held in Elizabethtown. The win helped Yeast qualify for the AAU Regional meet in Murfreesboro, Tenn. July 3-5, and she hopes her journey doesn’t stop there. Depending on her results at the regional meet, she could qualify for the AAU Junior Olympics, which will be held in Des Moines, Iowa, July 26 through Aug. 2.
