Mercer Handles Shorthanded Burgin

Mercer County sophomore guard Jackson Baughman pushes the ball upcourt in the fourth quarter of the Titans’ victory over Burgin on Friday, Jan. 10. The Titans outscored 64-10 through three quarters.
By the end of the first quarter, Mercer County had scored 20 points. That’s how many Burgin would have once the final buzzer sounded.
The Titans trampled the undermanned Bulldogs, 73-20, at Mercer County High School on Friday, Jan. 10. Thirteen Mercer players saw game action and 10 of them scored. Burgin, on the other hand, could only field nine after suspending five players for a violation of school and team rules last week.
