Lady Titans Cruise Past Burgin, 69-39

The Mercer County Lady Titans used 11-0 runs to bookend their 69-39 victory over the Burgin Lady Bulldogs last Saturday night.
Junior guard Heidi Huffman sparked the Lady Titans’ hot start, draining three 3-pointers on her way to tallying 11 points in the first quarter. Mercer County extended its lead to 20-2 before a flourish of points from Burgin, led by senior guards Summer Burke and Liz Marcinek, cut the Lady Titans’ lead to 21-9 by the end of the first quarter.
