Titans Soccer Gets Win Over Jaguars

Mercer’s Clay Morris, left, gets the shot off over East Jessamine keeper Brian Woods in the Titan’s 4-0 win Tuesday night.

The Mercer County soccer team picked up their third win in four games Tuesday night in their final regular season district game against the Jaguars of East Jessamine (2-5-4), 4-0.

“I think we played pretty well, our possession was where it needed to be,” said Mercer Head Coach Garrett Stark. “We’ve been working on our pressure defense especially in the mid-field and I think we did a good job of causing a lot of turnovers and kept pressing the ball forward.”
